What does Spindle Entity Master do?
Spindle Entity Master records which identifiers in different systems belong to the same person. When a customer has policies on more than one policy platform, it lets the Spindle Insurance Operating Platform connect that customer to each of their policy IDs.
Is Spindle Entity Master a Customer 360 or a customer data master?
No. Spindle Entity Master is not a Customer 360 and not an enterprise customer data master. It links identifiers. It does not replace the customer's own systems of record.
Why does linking identifiers matter?
An insurer may run several policy platforms, for example while it moves from a legacy core to a new one. A customer who signs in once should be able to reach their policies on every platform. A linked identifier is what makes that possible.
Is Spindle Entity Master used with an existing policy system?
Spindle works alongside existing policy systems. A customer can adopt the engagement, process and integration layers without subscribing to Spindle PAS. The Spindle journeys describe the starting points.
