We handle personal information in line with the data protection laws that apply to us and to you, including South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), Mauritius's Data Protection Act 2017, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, for visitors in the European Union or United Kingdom, the GDPR.

2. What we collect

When you contact us

When you complete the contact form, we collect the information you choose to give us: your full name, work email address, company, role, country, mobile number, where you are starting, the Spindle hub you are closest to, and your message.

When you use the Choose your Journey tool

Your answers are used in your browser to suggest a starting point and are not sent to us.

When you browse the site

This website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), which may record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to operate and secure the site. Cookies and similar technologies are explained in our cookie notice.

3. Why we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a demonstration or follow-up conversation.
• To route your enquiry to the Spindle hub best placed to help you.
• To keep a record of our correspondence with you.
• To operate, secure and improve this website.

We process this information because you have asked us to respond to you, with your consent, and in our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries. We do not sell your personal information.

4. Who we share it with

Your information may be shared between Spindle Ltd and Spindle APAC Pte. Ltd., and with service providers that host this website and manage our email and enquiries on our behalf: Amazon Web Services (AWS), which hosts this website, Formspree, which receives contact form submissions on our behalf, and Spindle. They may use it only to provide services to us and must protect it.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

5. International transfers

Spindle operates from South Africa, Mauritius and Singapore, so your information may be processed in those countries. This website is hosted in Mauritius. Where information is transferred across borders, we take the steps the applicable law requires to keep it protected.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and manage your enquiry. If you become a customer, your information moves into our regulated business records and is retained for the periods required by the insurance and financial services laws that apply. Once no longer needed or required, it is deleted or anonymised.

7. How we protect it

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to:

• confirm whether we hold personal information about you, and give you access to it;
• correct or update it;
• delete it, or restrict how we use it;
• stop processing it, or object to its processing;
• withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing that has already taken place.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the relevant regulator, such as South Africa's Information Regulator, the Mauritius Data Protection Office, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission, or your local supervisory authority in the European Union or United Kingdom.

This website is intended for business users and is not directed at children under 18.
